Days of depth. Nights back in your life.
PHP delivers nearly residential intensity, full clinical days, five to six days a week, while evenings return home or to transitional living. For LA clients stepping down, or stepping in where a bed isn’t clinically necessary, it’s the bridge that holds.
Every evening is a clinical experiment.
The day holds therapy, psychiatry, group, and family work at full depth. The night holds the real test, the apartment, the dinner, the city. Each morning, what happened gets examined while it is fresh, and the plan adjusts before the next evening runs.
It is a graduated return engineered for LA lives: exposure increases on a schedule the clinical team controls, not the city’s. When more support is needed at night, MLJ transitional living holds the evenings.
- Full clinical days, five to six per week
- Individual, group, and family sessions
- Continued psychiatric care
- Evenings home or in MLJ transitional living
- Morning reviews of how the night actually went
The most intensive level you go home from.
PHP is nearly residential in hours but outpatient in structure: the step down from a residential stay, or the step up from IOP when a week needs more weight. The same clinical team carries you either direction.
Full clinical days. Real evenings.
Five to six full days a week carry individual therapy, group, family work, and psychiatry at close to residential intensity. Then you go home, or to transitional living, and the evening becomes the thing the next morning examines. Exposure widens deliberately, never all at once.
For most LA clients that means a manageable daily commute over the hill rather than a relocation, roughly twenty minutes from the Westside, Hollywood, or Downtown, with the drive itself creating useful distance from the day’s triggers.

Depth by day, your own bed by night.
The clinical day runs from a hillside home with no signage and no lobby, the same private setting as residential, at a smaller footprint of hours. You get the intensity without surrendering your nights, and without a branded building announcing where you spend your days.

- PHP is the most intensive outpatient level, a step down from residential or a step up from IOP, carried by the same clinical team either direction.
- The program runs from a private hillside home in Encino, about twenty minutes over the hill, so most clients commute daily rather than relocate.
- Days include individual, group, and family sessions with continued psychiatric care, and each morning reviews how the night actually went, so exposure widens on the team’s schedule.
